La conferencia versará sobre el sistema de estudio y aplicación de un plan de control de garrapatas en un área Mediterránea en la que se ha observado una superpoblación de garrapatas. Se describe cómo se llevó a cabo la identificación de la/s especies de garrapata presentes en la zona, y por tanto frente a las que hay que actuar, seguido de cómo se estudió los productos para utilizar en el campo, junto al diseño de métodos de aplicación y la aplicación de los mismos en condiciones de campo, junto a una evaluación de los resultados de los mismos.
The lecture will deal with the system of study and implementation of a tick control plan in a Mediterranean area where an overpopulation of ticks has been observed. It will describe how the identification of the tick species present in the area, and therefore to be acted against, was carried out, followed by how the products to be used in the field were studied, together with the design of application methods and the application of these in field conditions, together with an evaluation of the results of the same.
